Women Veteran Population

October 2005

The total veteran population in the United States and Puerto Rico, as of October 2005, is estimated 24.4.  The population of women veterans numbered at almost 1.7 million.  States with the largest number of women veterans were California, Florida, Texas, Virginia and New York.
