Successful Artist Features Military Women

Artist Nancy E. Rhodes created the "Women In The Military" mural that is on permanent display at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. The Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Anthony Principi, has an artist's proof of the image and has it on display in the Veterans Affairs building in Washington, DC.

The Mayor and Police Commissioner of New York City, former Iraqi POW Shoshona Johnson, and Brigadier General Wilma Vaught are just some of the people who own artist proofs of the mural. General Vaught, President of the Women's Memorial in D.C., flew to Syracuse to dedicate the mural.

The poster has been used to dedicate hospital wings for women veterans and hs promoted many veteran conferences across the country. The NYC Police Depatment used the poster for their "Women On The Front Lines" conference.
