The Army Women's Museum has become a reality!
Dedication was 11 May 2001 at Ft. Lee Virginia.

Numerous dignitaries were asked to come forward and participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony as the Fort Lee Army band played the Colonel Bogey March. They included: Dr. Joseph Westphal - Acting Secretary of the Army, SMA Jack L. Tilley - Sergeant Major of the Army, Mr. Mark Sisisky - Son of the late Congressman Sisisky, Former Women's Army Corps Directors: Colonel (Retired) Mary Louise Rasmuson, Brigadier General (Retired) Inez Bailey, Major General (Retired) Betty Clarke, Jerry Burgess - Museum Director/Curator, Colonel Victoria Revilla - Senior Women officer assigned to Fort Lee, and PVT Chanyra Senecharles - Youngest Advanced Individual Training Soldier assigned to Fort Lee.

Retired Col. Mary A. Hallaren, along with the youngest soldier in advanced individual training here, Pfc. Michelle Pacheco, Uniform Company, had the honor of cutting the official cake at the ground breaking ceremony a few years ago. They represented the past, present and future of women in the service.
