Winifred (Winnie) Bailey Jones was born in Shelby County and died in Jefferson County, Alabama. Nathan Olious Jones and Winifred (Winnie) Bailey are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McCalla, Alabama.

Winifred (Winnie) Bailey, (b: Mar 1821 - d: 1891), was the daughter of Zilpha Lee and Thomas L. Bailey (b: 1773).
 Zilpha Lee, (b: 1770) was the daughter of Captain Thomas Lee (Revolutionary War) and Mary Bryan Raines Lee. This information can be verified and established through the Daughters of the American Revolution, (DAR).

NOTE: On Feb 21, 1963, Louise Harmon Johnston said that she had heard that her grandmother, Mollie Moore, say that she was seventeen years old when her parents moved from Shelby County (Camp Branch Community) to the Pleasant Hill Community of Jefferson County, Alabama. That would be in 1863. Martha Frances (Mattie) was 15. Mollie and Mattie both planned to marry in the Fall of 1870, and wanted a double wedding. They each decided on a date. Neither would compromise. So they did not have the double wedding.

(Notes from 1968) Charlotte (Lottie) Josephine Jones, married Thomas Jackson Howard are buried at Vance Cemetery in Bibb County, Alabama. Their son, Almus B. Howard, Sr. (B: 1880), still lives at Vance, Alabama. Almus B. Howard, Jr. lives in Missouri. James Wiley Howard (b: 1883) is dead. Lottie's daughter, Vallie Missouri is reported to be living in Bessemer with a grandson, Johnny Howard. - Mildred Moore McCrimmon Crain

Courtney (Cotney) Jones, (b: Oct 6 1864 - Nov 10 1939), dau of Nathan Olious Jones and Winifred (Winnie) Bailey, married (m: Mar 31 1885 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., Al) James Franklin Bell, (b: Jan 17, 1864, - d: Jun 26, 1949 son of Nancy Caroline Allinder (b: Aug 25 1837 - Mar 17 1900) and William Bell (b: Mar 30 1836 - d: Oct 11 1918) They are buried in Sadler Cemetery, Bessemer, Alabama.

Mary Louise (Mollie) Jones, (b: Dec 6 1846 - d: Jul 3 1936), was born in Shelby County, Alabama. She married George Washington Moore, Sep 1 1870.

Isaac Walter Jones, (b: Feb 22 1852 - d: Jan 15 1916). He married (1) Mary Ann Nunnally, (b: 1866 - d: Mar 28 1901), married (2) Liza Jane Bridges, who had two children when they married. Isaac Walter Jones is buried in Valley Creek Cemetery, Jefferson County, Alabama.

NOTE David M. Jones and Julia B. Todd were married in Jonesboro Methodist Church by Rev. W. B. Hope, Dec 8, 1912. David McClendon Jones, Mary Elizabeth Farrington Jones and Julia B. Todd Jones are all buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McCalla, Alabama.

John Martin Jones, (b: Aug 5 1856 - Aug 31 1931), married (1st) to Virginia Nunnally, and (2nd) to Bessie Brown. Virginia Nunnally Jones (b: 1858 - d: Mar 11 1908. She was a sister of Mary Ann Nunnally. They are buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McCalla, Alabama. Bessie Brown (b: Jan 13 1886 - d:) married (m: Sep 22 1908). Their children's names were Pauline, Joe and ???

Rosco Jones-Married to Ethel. They used to live down the railroad toward Kimbrel in a house that grandmother owned. Had a son, Joe, who died as a child of complications of measles. Daughter, Maude, and her sister (can't remember her name) worked at Dixie Metal when I did during the war. Have a brother, Bobby. Maude and Bobby lived in Cal. Bobby died. Don't know about Maude.

Nathan Ed Dewey: Two children, Mary Ocie and Zack. Bob
