NOTE: On Feb 21, 1963, Louise
Harmon Johnston said that she had heard that her grandmother, Mollie
Moore, say that she was seventeen years old when her parents moved from
Shelby County (Camp Branch Community) to the Pleasant Hill Community of
Jefferson County, Alabama. That would be in 1863. Martha Frances
(Mattie) was 15. Mollie and Mattie both planned to marry in the Fall of
1870, and wanted a double wedding. They each decided on a date. Neither
would compromise. So they did not have the double wedding.

Howard, Sr. (B: 1880), still lives at Vance, Alabama. Almus B. Howard, Jr. lives in Missouri. James Wiley Howard (b: 1883) is dead. Lottie's daughter, Vallie Missouri is reported to be living in Bessemer with a grandson, Johnny Howard. - Mildred Moore McCrimmon Crain

Frances married to L.C. (Buddy) Shamblin 605 Princess Lane Bessemer, AL 35022 (205) 425-4073 I remember Preston's wife. She lived to her 90's and died in recent years.
Alice King.Rosco Jones-Married to Ethel. They used to live down the railroad toward Kimbrel in a house that grandmother owned. Had a son, Joe, who died as a child of complications of measles. Daughter, Maude, and her sister (can't remember her name) worked at Dixie Metal when I did during the war. Have a brother, Bobby. Maude and Bobby lived in Cal. Bobby died. Don't know about Maude.

Buddy Shamblin is Charlie Hogue's first cousin.
